Interesting Illustrators.

Jonny Hannah
This illustrator appeals to me because of his extensive use of typography, which is a particular area that I am very keen to explore.

Tom Gauld
I am interested by the work of Tom Gauld, particularly due to his use of solid black lines/outlines in his pieces, and also the simplistic compositions he produces.

Alex Pardee
I find the work by Alex Pardee extremely interesting both due to the originality and unique style of the characters he creates, and also the way he uses colour to create textures and almost feelings in his images.

Barry Falls
I am interested by the work of this illustrator because of the way he uses colour, both the choices of which colours he puts together, and the way they look almost washed out, and also how they're not solid colour but look like pencil crayon markings.

Stuart Kolakovic
I am drawn to the work of Stuart Kolakovic due to the way he uses simple shapes (houses, mountain, as seen here) to create almost pattern-like backgrounds and scenery in his work. I also find interesting the way he creates the illusion of light in his work, by carefully choosing colours to give the effect of the light being real. Something else that is very interesting about this piece in general is the symmetry of the images.

Allan Sanders

Allan Sanders work interests me due to the clear imagination put into the development of it, his characters and personalities shine through the pieces, and each as surprising and unique as the next.
